13 Mar SIEBENSTER 3 kg Coffee Roaster Installation at Bolo Coffee Roastery in Ilsan
We installed a SIEBENSTER 3 kg roaster at Bolo Coffee Roastery in Baekseok-dong, Ilsan, a roastery run directly by an SCA AST.

Being able to take part in someone’s new beginning inevitably brings a heavy sense of responsibility, along with the joy of being invited.
The owner of Bolo Coffee, who had long been active in coffee education, chose SIEBENSTER when starting a new cafe of their own. Along with deep gratitude, we felt the weight of needing to pay even closer attention.
Through 2023, the SIEBENSTER 3 kg product was a tabletop model. After much deliberation, however, we decided to change it to an integrated stand-type product from 2024, and to add several standard options.
Because Bolo Coffee was our first 3 kg customer of 2024, it is fair to say that the change was applied across the entire product line because of Bolo Coffee.
At the time of the order it was the stand type, but we told them midway that we would apply changes like these.
Here is a rough summary of the changes.
- As mentioned above, the tabletop type has been changed to a full-size stand type, like the models of 6 kg and above.
This form is better because it gives a more professional impression than a tabletop type.
- The remote units for all inverters have been moved to the control panel side, so you can easily check and change the drum speed and cyclone speed.
- Quitting-time mode! With the Time Off function, we modified part of a feature found in the automated models and applied it to all models. On automated models it is controlled by temperature, while on manual models the power is cut off after a set time.
- All access openings have been changed to a one-touch magnetic type. If bolts were used as before, removing and reattaching them would be a hassle, and cleaning would keep getting put off.
Because of the cafe’s opening schedule, the installation was carried out in a hurry on a weekend night.

It’s slim, but bulkier than it looks.
With the controller mounted on top, it would not fit through the 900 mm door, so we removed the packaging and stood the controller upright to get it in.

And here is the spot!
Since it looks so good, we judged that placing it at the front would be best.

What do you think? Looks great, doesn’t it??

Seen from the inside, this is the layout.
Customers can see the roaster as soon as they walk in, so we decided this would give a clear impression of a roastery cafe.

SIEBENSTER roasters include a roasting light, a timer, and a micro-pressure gauge as standard.
You might say, ‘Isn’t that a given?’ But quite a few machines don’t even have those givens.

From the side it looks quite imposing, but from the front it is quite slim.
We completed all the testing, and we’re delighted that the owner is also pleased with how good the coffee tastes!
Here is how Bolo Coffee Roastery looked when we visited again, fully set up.

That concludes our installation report.
If you come to Ilsan, don’t forget to have a cup of coffee at Bolo Coffee Roastery.
We also hope for your continued interest and support for the newly improved SIEBENSTER of 2024. ^^*
