21 Feb SIEBENSTER 60 kg Roaster Installation in Namyangju
Hello, this is SIEBENSTER.
We have installed a 60 kg roaster in Namyangju.
The SIEBENSTER 60 kg is a cast-iron roaster fitted with every option essential for large-scale roasting.
It comes with a wide range of options:
- Full-auto automation
- Wireless Artisan
- Artisan automation control
- Fire-suppression system (drum, exhaust pipe, cyclone)
- Cooler quenching (wet cooling of the cooler)
These features are applied as options.
Because this is such a large machine, the green coffee conveyor is included as standard.
Even so, we sell it at an astonishing price, the lowest among machines distributed in Korea~ With inflation so severe these days, a price increase next year is unavoidable, but we are keeping an astonishing price through this year. ^^
Now then, let’s get into the installation story.
Today, the vehicle entrusted with safely transporting the roaster from Paju to Namyangju is a Scania 11-ton vibration-free truck. It is hard to get a sense of the length from the photos, but the truck alone is 13 meters long, about the length of two standard dump trucks~

The 60 kg set has so many component parts that it fills this vehicle completely.
The Namyangju site is a newly built factory that has just completed construction for HACCP certification, and because it is such a large factory, moving everything in was very easy.
Because this is such large equipment, every part is fitted with wheels, so even if you need to move it around inside later, it can be moved easily.

The work sequence starts with connecting the large parts.
The major components are the main controller, the green coffee conveyor, the cooler, the cyclone, and the main body. All of them are of the switching type, so the electrical connection is completed simply by plugging the switch into the main body’s distribution panel.
The machine alone requires 12 kW of power, and connecting the destoner to the main as well requires 17.5 kW. To reduce the overall load somewhat and ensure stable output, it is wired with a three-phase, four-wire system.
It goes without saying, but when SIEBENSTER’s afterburner, cyclone, and green coffee conveyor are used together, all of the equipment is combined and operated from a single controller.

For HACCP certification and for convenience, the green coffee conveyor is set up to weigh green coffee directly in the green coffee storage room and transport it straight from there.
Work flow is the most important thing in any operation, so these are important points that can never be overlooked.
In fact, as with everything, the planning stage is the most important. If we discuss things thoroughly during planning, there are quite a few things we can tailor for you.
For example, if the ceiling is low, we can build the machine itself in a low-profile type.
If you tell us exactly what you need from the planning stage, we can build a machine best suited to its use.

Once the main equipment is connected, we connect the detailed electrical components and the air hoses for the pneumatic cylinders, and then connect the water supply to the equipment for the water-based fire-suppression system and cooler quenching.
Because this is large equipment, its heating power is strong, so we consider a fire-suppression system not an option but a necessity. Even this alone can help avoid the worst in an emergency.

The 60 kg destoner is placed in a line with the roaster.
From the 12 kg models upward, we make 1 to 3 outlets. So when using the destoner, you can connect it to suit your environment.
The duct run to the outside was about 10-15 meters.
Even so, as you will see in the video below, it works very well.
