30 Aug Cafe Sicha, an Extra-Large Cafe in Gimpo: SIEBENSTER 12 kg Coffee Roaster Installation
We installed a SIEBENSTER 12 kg roaster at Cafe Sicha, an extra-large cafe in Daegot, Gimpo.

As you step through the entrance, the first thing that catches your eye is the airy bar.
Cafe Sicha is run by its owner, who is both a pilot and a well-known YouTuber.
At first I assumed that “Sicha” was a place specializing in signature teas, like Gong Cha, but I was told the name comes from the owner’s experience as a pilot.
Come to think of it, the pattern in the logo also seems to evoke an aircraft instrument panel.

Cafe Sicha is located in a somewhat secluded spot, but once you step inside, a different world unfolds.
I’m told the beautiful lake in the photo used to be a field.
Creating even a lake as landscaping while designing the cafe: now that’s class!
You can feel the sincerity.
How many people in the world would build a lake for their cafe? ^^;;

The interior is neat and tidy, with a sense of modernity and comfort.

This is the first-floor hall.
The garden in the middle of the wide-open space is very impressive.

This is a photo zone that makes use of the staircase!
It’s truly stunning!
I’m looking forward to seeing what role SIEBENSTER will play here as the main roaster.

There is also plenty of parking space.

This is the roasting room where SIEBENSTER will be placed.
It’s an unusual space, something like an exhibition room.

In keeping with the atmosphere of the space, they chose white gold.
The space is so large that even a 12 kg roaster looks small.
After installation, the coffee tastes excellent; the roaster at Sicha must have dialed in the profile extremely well.
The profile was dialed in so well that we even obtained beans from Sicha to send to people who were curious about our products.

For the exhaust, both the cooling and the cyclone were set up as indirect connections.
SIEBENSTER does not carry out the ductwork itself, but we provide a duct installation guide.
Even though both were set up as indirect connections, there is no internal backflow.

I was told that the roaster at Sicha uses Firescope rather than Artisan.
Firescope likewise collects data over serial communication by default, so it is highly compatible.
When I asked why they use Firescope in particular, they said it looks good and brings together only the functions they use, which makes it easy to use.

Now that Sicha has started selling on Naver Store in earnest, they mean business.
Ten part-timers just for packing!

The boxes pile up,

and the courier truck waits a good while, because Sicha’s volume alone seems to be enough to fill it, until everything is loaded.
If you visit Gimpo, why not stop by Cafe Sicha in Daegot and enjoy a little “time-lag” diversion that lets you forget the gravity of reality for a while?
And be sure to try the coffee roasted with SIEBENSTER too!
